About the project
This site provides information on our ongoing research on early-life investments in children's health and development and their long-run returns.
In this research, we combine large-scale Danish administrative data with newly-collected historical records on several policy experiments. By doing so, we analyze the complementarities between different childhood investments in their long-run effects on adult outcomes. We exploit quasi-experimental variation in shocks to different types of investments (health, non-cognitive, and cognitive) at different childhood stages. We study long-run effects on individuals' career choices, earnings, work force participation and health.
